It is a contract by virtue of which one of the parties, or seller, undertakes to transfer the
ownership of a good to the other party, or buyer, in exchange for the latter’s delivery of the
ownership or dominion of another good. That is to say, it is a contract in which it is transmitted
the property of a good in exchange for receiving the full dominion or property of another good
(as if it were a barter).
Although it can also be the case in which one of the contracting parties delivers to
the other the good plus an amount of money, because the value of the good to be received by
